The nutraceutical value of this fruit was presented during the conference “Stories of bergamot”, organized by the Department of Agriculture of the University of Reggio Calabria, it was possible to understand the potential of this fruit against the development of tumors. The only flavonols contained in bergamot, in fact, not only induce the death of cancer cells but also significantly reduce the proliferation of metastases. They would also be useful against benign prostatic hypertrophy.
